I know, a week late, but Jeremy has been doing lots of photography (which is fun because we’ve been able to buy some fun props with all the money!) and I had to keep bugging him to get our Halloween pictures processed. This year, it was pretty tough for our kids to decide what they wanted to be for Halloween. Mason started out wanting to be a black bat really bad, but when it came down to it, he really just didn’t know what he wanted. McKinley was going to be a butterfly that Jeremy’s mom had gotten her, but for some reason she was terrified of it and wouldn’t go near it, nevermind put it on! We went into a Halloween store and told Mason that he we were leaving the store with a costume so he had to pick one here. After searching and searching, he came upon a Darth Vader costume and that is what he had to be! He has a little Star Wars demo game that he plays and it shows a brief picture of Darth Vader, so he really doesn’t know who he is…he thought because he had a cape, he was a super hero! It was funny! McKinley saw a Minnie Mouse costume while we were in there and fell in love with it (she loves Mickey and Minnie) so we got her that. Here they are, looking just oh so cute!

Now I need to back up. Halloween started for us on Thursday, at Mason’s school Halloween party. I got to go in at the first and take some pictures of his class.

And just Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi

They had a little party, then went trick or treating to a couple houses and got some fun treats! He loves his school and his teachers!
Then on Friday, we went to Jeremy’s work to go trick or treated to all the cubicles. They also had a few spook ally’s that the kids loved. Kinley got tired pretty quick, but Mason loved every minute!

Saturday morning we went down to Provo to watch my mom run in the Halloween Half Marathon. The kids like seeing all the costumes everyone was in and loved cheering on Grandma! She did an awesome job!!

Then we came home to watch the rain and hope it would stop so we could go trick or treating in the neighborhood. We got a few hours of no rain, so we jumped out and went to some houses. Kinley only lasted for our circle and the one across from us, then my parents took her home and Jer and I took Mason down another street. He had a blast and refused to wear his coat because then “no one could see his cool costume!” He didn’t wear his mask or carry is sword…that was our job!
I love Halloween, I’m always so sad when it’s over!
