Congrats Big Brother!

Filed under: Uncategorized — brittney @ 5:38 pm

So it’s taken a little while, but my brother graduated from college!  Well, kind of, he’s actually going to graduate school to get his doctorate at Oregon State later this year, but it was so fun to see him in a cap and gown!  I think he just needed to really decide what he wanted to do and then he just excelled like crazy in his classes.  He got a Biology major and is getting his doctorate so he can teach Biology at a college.  All his professors loved him and are so excited to see what his future holds.  At least 2 of them stopped to tell us how awesome he is and how they expect big things from him.  We were not as early as my Dad, Mom, Grandma and Ash, so my Dad walked out to help us get in while they saved seats.  Well, it turned out they wouldn’t let us back down on the floor where they were at so we ended up not being able to sit by them, but we also ended up with way better seats and Jer was able to get better pictures.

Congrats Brother!!

Easter

Filed under: Uncategorized — brittney @ 3:42 pm

Easter was unseasonably cold this year, so we spent A LOT more time inside than normal.  We spent the weekend in Lynndyl with Jeremy’s family.  Before we left, we colored some eggs at our house.

And one for the baby, colored both blue and pink since we don’t know what it is!

We started it off with a trip to Delta for a Easter Egg hunt at my parents house.  My mom went overboard as usual, but they had a great time and got some cute stuff.  She made up a little treasure hunt so there were clues in each egg until they found the BIG treasure in the back!

Saturday morning we went to the Lynndyl  Egg Hunt.  It was rocky start because Mason had a fly go in his eye (well ok it hit his face, but he was POSITIVE it had gone in his eye) but luckily Grandma kissed it better and helped him get some eggs.  Kinley had fun too, but she never wants to put the eggs in the bag because she’s afraid someone else is going to get her candy, she likes to keep a tight grip on it!  Don’t you love the contrast of pictures taken my little camera (above) to Jeremy’s nice camera (below)?

Before the hunt…don’t they all look excited and warm!!

Please ignore the 2 different flower/bow in her hair.  She was determined to wear them both and some things I just decide aren’t worth the battle with her!

Later that day, we tried to BBQ, but found this inside!!  Plus it was freezing so everyone just piled in Kay and Roger’s house!

The next morning, the Easter Bunny had visited!  All the kids got fun stuff and liked looking for eggs again.  Then we went to Church and then came home so I could go to work that night.  It was a good Easter, even though it was freezing!

And Our Family Will Be FIVE!!

That’s right, we have another little on the way!  It has been a rough pregnancy so far, as I have been pretty sick, but we are really excited!!  It came as a little bit of a shock to us because all the signs and blood tests were showing that it was going to be a struggle to get pregnant again, but apparently this little one was ready to come because suddenly I had a positive pregnant test!  I really didn’t believe it so I went and got a blood test also.  Even though I was really sick, it took until I was 7 weeks and my Dr. did a ultrasound and I actually saw the fluttering little heart that it started to sink in!  Ahh, look at the little bean!

Mason had been asking for a new sibling for a while so he was pretty excited when we told him!!  We told him then headed down to Lynndyl/Delta to tell our parents.  We were actually hoping to wait until after I was 12 weeks to tell everyone, but we were going down there to help with the Delta track meet and I knew I couldn’t stay at my parents house, when I was so sick, and my mom not realize something was up.  Although both sets of parents kept coming out our house to visit and it was kind of hard to keep it quiet.  My mom almost walked in on a few time throwing up!  We let Mason tell them and he thought that was pretty cool.  He really wants a brother, but says its ok if it’s a sister.  Then he told us he really wanted an older brother…we broke the bad news that that wasn’t to happen!  Can’t wait to meet this little one although we are a little apprehensive about the jump to 3 kids.  We will be out numbered!!

A New Soccer and T-ball Season

Filed under: Uncategorized — brittney @ 1:11 am

The spring soccer season has arrived.  You are on the same team for fall and spring and Mason was excited to see his coach and soccer friends again.  Here’s a few pictures of his first practice.  He’s wearing a white jacket.

T-ball also started again.  It was a pretty rocky start as Herriman was NOT as organized this year as they were last year, but Mason has enjoyed playing again.  His team is completely different from last year, this year they are called The Scrappers.

Don’t worry, I’ll post more pictures that were taken with the “real” camera later!  It is a pretty busy spring for a 4 year old with preschool, t-ball games twice a week, and soccer practice every Tuesday and games on Saturday.  He doesn’t seem to mind at all!

Dinosaur Museum

Filed under: Uncategorized — brittney @ 5:07 am

We decided to take the kids to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. Mason had been before but it had been a while so he was really little and Kinley hadn’t ever been. Ok, so I really had a scrapbooking kit that I needed to use that had dinosaurs in it, so that was our excuse to go, so I could get some pictures! The kids had a great time. Here are some pictures from our adventure!

Happy Birthday Jeremy!

Filed under: Uncategorized — brittney @ 3:55 am

My sweet hubby turned 32 this year!!  We are never big on celebrating our own birthday’s but we did more than usual this year!  First, I made him pancakes for breakfast.

Then we went to a frozen yogurt place in Herriman called FroYogurt for the first time, it was really good and the kids liked picking their topping and yogurt.

We got him some gifts, a sports bag to take his workout clothes in from me (I know, super exciting but he’s been wanting one forever) and a lego set for him and Mason to do together from the kids. :)   Mason picked out a little cake for him at the store

Then Jeremy’s parents came up to watch the kids so we could go out!  Yay!!  For some reason we ended up doing things I like to do.  We went to The Lincoln Lawyer, a movie I wanted to see because I had read the book and then to Joe’s Crab Shack  (I really love crab) but really that was just because we walked out of the theater and it was right there!  Here’s a stupid picture taken by our even stupider waitress…she was pretty odd!

Overall, I think he had a good day and it was great to go out and spend time with him!
