We had a great 4th of July, as usual, we went down to Delta for the celebrations! The 4th was on a Monday this year, but we went down on Saturday because I was going to a little get-to-together with some of my high school friends. It’s amazing how you can go so long without seeing people, but then when you’re together, it’s just like it was yesterday! I love these girls sooo much and we had a great time just hanging out, talking, eating, reminiscing, and blabbering about our kids!

We spent the weekend mostly in Lynndyl and this is what the boys did most of the time.

Jeremy found this game called Mine Craft and thought it looked fun for Mason, so he taught him how to play…little did he know, that he was creating a monster! He LOVES it and wants to play it all the time! Jer also introduced it to Ethan (sorry Kay and Roger!) and he has the same addiction. So when they were down there, Jeremy apparently felt bad that Mason was just watching Ethan play so they set up his laptop on that little stool and Mason was in heaven. We’ve really had to limit the time he plays this game because if let him, he’d play it all day, every day!
On Sunday, we went down to hang out with my parents for a bit, so they filled up their little pool and kids had a blast playing!

They love playing with my mom’s exercise ball and when we were out there, I was just snapping away some pictures and this happened.

It probably didn’t feel very good, but my dad and I were laughing so hard that she decided it was funny and just went on playing. She did a good job trying to catch it though!

We painted Kinley’s toes and fingernails red for the 4th, she thought that was pretty cool! She really does a good job holding still and letting them dry. My mom was nice enough to paint my toes too, since it’s getting hard to reach them…we won’t mention how interesting that was!!! Haha!

Jeremy got up early the next morning to go take pictures of the cheerleaders while we got ready for the parade. The weather was PERFECT!! It was overcast the whole time so we weren’t just sitting there melting in the sun, but it never rained. It was perfect parade weather. The kids, of course, had a great time getting candy.

Kinley was a little overwhelmed from all the people and was pretty clingy. Good thing her grandparents love her and helped her get her candy!

The biggest bonus about my mom being the cheerleader adviser on the 4th is that the cheerleaders throw us gobs of candy! After the parade, we went to the park for a little bit then did our traditional stop at Leo’s for some good ole Delta food!! Because Jer had to work the next day, we decided no derby for us this year and just headed home. We ended up doing some fireworks with our neighbors, but we didn’t take any pictures!! We love our neighbors!!
